UNDP Launches Youth Empowerment Project


Earlier today, the Sindh Government with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) formally launches the Youth Education; Employment, Empowerment Project (YEEEP) in order to educate, train, employ, and empower 15,000 in the province, which was accordingly approved by the Honorable Chief Minister Sindh/Chairman SEF Board of Governors.

According to the details, the first Project Steering Committee of the YEEEP took place under the chairpersonship of Secretary Planning & Development Department Sindh. Moreover, the meeting was also attended by the Secretary, School Education & Literacy Department of Sindh, Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs of Sindh, Assistant Resident Representative UNDP, Program Specialist UNDP, and other VIPs.

The UNDP representatives presented the project brief and annual work plan. The Managing Director of SEF led the debates and guaranteed key approvals of the planned activities and implementation-related requirements. YEEEP is going to be executed by the UNDP while the Sindh Education Foundation is going to provide strategic oversight.

Basically, this project is in line with the Sindh Government’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goals and the empowerment of the youth in the province.
