The authorities of the Pakistan Railways announced that the railway department has upgraded the online ticket booking system after the Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that it has crashed due to the heavy load of the visitors.
The officials of the Pakistan Railways said that after the upgradation process of the online tickets booking system, the passengers could easily book the train tickets online.
They further said that currently more than 100,000 passengers have booked their train tickets using the online reservation system.
“We have also opened up reservation centers at major stations in the country,” an official said.
It is pertinent to mention here that on Thursday the Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that the online ticket reservation system of the Pakistan Railways has reportedly been crashed due to the heavy load of the visitors.
During a video message on Twitter, the minister said that authorities have decided to open a one-window booking office at the railway stations in Rawalpindi, Karachi, Multan, Sukkur, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta to facilitate people buying tickets.
