SSGC has suspended the gas supply to the government hospitals of Karachi. The Sui Southern Gas Company has taken the decision to halt the gas supply to the biggest government hospitals of the provincial capital of Sindh over their failure of clearing the dues.
As per the spokesperson of the SSGC, the arrangements have been given the final shape to disconnect the gas supply of the hospitals that are on the list of defaulters.
While providing the names of the hospitals, the spokesperson said that the Lyari General Hospital, Sindh Government Hospital, National Institutes of Child Health (NICH), Civil Services Hospital, Trauma Centre Civil Hospital, ICU Trauma Centre, Civil Services Hospital and the Cardiac Centre Korangi have not been able to clear their dues.

The abovementioned hospitals have been provided a deadline of 15th September to clear their SSGC dues, otherwise, their connections would be disconnected, as added by the spokesperson.
Previously in June, PM Khan had asked to formulate a detailed strategy for meeting with the gas requirements of both the industrial and domestic sectors.
While heading a high-level meeting in the federal capital, PM Khan had said that the gas needs of both the domestic and industrial consumers were surging on a per-day basis.
