Sindh Minister Says Not in Position to Open Educational Institutes


The Sindh Education Minister, Saeed Ghani has said that the government of Sindh is not in a position to open educational institutes in the province.

He said while addressing a press conference in Karachi that parents will not be sending their children to schools even if they are given the permit to resume the academic activities.

The schools and educational institutions were halted from doing activities across Pakistan in February as a preventive measure to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

On the other hand, the Private Schools Association in Karachi has insisted that the schools should be given permission to reopen after Eid.

The president of the association, Tariq Shah said in a media briefing that since all other things in the nation were back on track, schools must also be given permission to reopen.

He said that they have appealed to the Cheif Justice that a suo moto action needs to be taken regarding the opening of the schools.
