Rabi-ul-Awwal to Commence from October 19th


Yesterday, The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced that the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal will begin from the 19th of October.

According to the reports, a notification from the religious ministry declared that the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1442 AH has not been sighted yet.

The notification read that in undertaking of the decision taken by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee at its meeting held in Karachi on Saturday, moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1442 AH has not been sighted. Hence, the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal will start from October 19.

Consequently, in that situation, the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal will be witnessed on the 30th of October (Wednesday).

On the other hand, the national squad for the T20 and ODI series with Zimbabwe will likely announce tomorrow (Monday).

Misbah-ul-Haq the former chief selector was going to announce Pakistan’s squad but he recently resigned from his post. So, PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) will announce the squad themselves in a press meeting.
