PM Sent His Greetings to Azerbaijan on their 29th Independence Day


Prime Minister Imran Khan today sent his good wishes to Azerbaijan on celebrating their 29th independence day.

PM Imran Khan conveyed his greeting in his tweet.

Azerbaijan first declared independence from the Russian Tsar under the chairmanship of Mehmet Emin Resulzade on May 28, 1918, but was occupied by the Soviet Union after a short period of two years. In 1991, Azerbaijan re-established its status as an independent state on October 18 – the day when Independence Day is celebrated annually.

The Prime Minister also tributed the forces of Azerbaijan on defending their country with great strength.

It’s also reported that the PM also said that Pakistan stands with Azerbaijan in its quest to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh issue as per the United Nations Security Council’s resolutions.

In response to his tweet, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the people of the country thanked and supported PM’s greetings.
