PM Khan to launch the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme for the jobless workers today.
More than 3 billion rupees so far have been gathered in the Corona Relief Fund. On the directives of the PM, the government will be contributing 4 rupees for every rupee that is donated to the fund.
Donations for the relief fund as well as the release funds from it is being conducted in a transparent manner.
Nearly 3.4 million of applications of the jobless workers have been received so far via the Ehsaas Labour Portal, as per the Office of the Prime Minister.
PM Khan has made the commitment that for each rupee that has been gathered via the donations, Rs. 4 will be contributed by the government.
On the 2nd of May, PM Khan inaugurated the Ehsaas Labour Portal which makes the COVID-19 affectees who have lost their jobs or livelihoods to seek the Ehsaas Emergency Cash aid from the government.
He also said that the donations that are being received in the PM COVID-19 Fund would be distributed in the Ehsaas Emergency Cash to the deserving job-less affectees. An amount of Rs.12,000 cash would be given to the suffering individuals under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash.
The process of the cash distribution to the people will begin from the 18th of May. PM Khan assured that he would himself be monitoring the relief fund and that its details would be revealed after the audit.
