Prime Minister Imran Khan will be launching the Covid-19 telehealth portal in Islamabad today. This will be to make sure that there is effective contact between doctors and coronavirus patients during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Covid-19 telehealth portal is being established to keep patients from any needless meetings in the coronavirus situation context.
Doctors can register themselves with the platform voluntarily and suggest diagnosis, and treatment to patients free of cost.
Also, citizens can remain in touch with the doctors, ask question related to the novel coronavirus and remain in touch via telephone.
PM Imran Khan launched Yaran-e-Watan initiative last month to allow the overseas Pakistani health professionals to support the effort of the country in coping with the coronavirus pandemic.
PM Imran Khan tweeted, “ “We have launched YaranWatan initiative for our overseas health professionals who can now register to volunteer their services.”
It is pertinent to mention here that this initiative has been launched in collaboration with the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development with support from the Pakistani diaspora health organisations.
