ISLAMABAD: National airline PIA has announced to operate special flights to Iraq for visitors on the occasion of Arbaeen. The flights will be operated from September 27 to October 5.
According to the details, PIA announced to operate special flights to Iraq on the occasion of Arbaeen and in this regard issued a schedule of special flights to Najaf and Baghdad.
On the occasion of Arbaeen, special flights will depart from Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore to Najaf and Baghdad. The flights will depart from September 27 and will run until October 5.
According to PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik, attractive fares have been introduced for visitors from Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, and other cities of the country. Flights on Arbaeen have been in demand for a long time. It has always been the PIA’s tradition to hold special flights on all religious occasions.
It may be recalled that some time ago, the CEO of PIA Arshad Malik had a special meeting with the Iraqi Ambassador and asked for permission. It is our responsibility as a national airline to serve the pilgrims and assist them. But these flights are being arranged in such a way that the visitors do not have any difficulty, he added.
