The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to let Pakistani players keep playing in the Bangladesh Premier League till February 8th. However, this only applies to those who aren’t taking part in the exhibition match set to take place in Quetta on February 5th. At first, the PCB had asked all Pakistani players to come back home by February 3rd, before the start of the PSL 8 on February 13th.

The franchises had wanted the players to come back earlier, so they could have some rest before the PSL started, but according to Najam Sethi, head of the PCB management committee, some players asked the franchises if they could stay and play in the BPL for a few more days.

The PCB made sure that the best players from the Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators would be available for the exhibition match in Quetta on February 5th by asking those players to come back home by February 2nd. Iftikhar Ahmad, one of the top performers in the BPL who even scored a century, is a part of the Quetta Gladiators and will be returning for the exhibition match.
