Islamabad United trumped the Kings by six wickets at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi today. Azam Khan is once again the star of the show as his unbeaten 72 from 41 balls guided Islamabad to a six wicket win. Islamabad United retained their place at the third spot on the points table following their victory in the 19th match of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Earlier, after deciding to bat first, the Kings scored 61 runs in the powerplay but lost three wickets in the powerplay. At this stage, captain Wasim took control of the innings and he added 99 runs, while consuming 56 balls, for the fifth wicket with Irfan Khan. Wasim starred as Karachi Kings set United a daunting target of 202 runs. The Kings’ skipper smashed the ball to all parts of the ground and remained unbeaten on 92 runs in 54 balls.

In reply to that gigantic total, Azam Khan and Faheem Ashraf made a brilliant century partnership, 124 runs in 69 balls, to keep the United in control of the run-chase.  Asif Ali smashed a four to finish off the run-chase in the final over of the innings.
