Iftikhar Ahmed has cemented his place in cricket history, becoming the latest member of the exclusive club of players to hit six sixes in an over. The 32-year-old cricketer achieved this amazing feat during a Pakistan Super League exhibition match, where he was playing for Quetta Gladiators against Peshawar Zalmi. Iftikhar joined the likes of Garry Sobers, Herschelle Gibbs, Yuvraj Singh, and others who have hit the maximum number of maximums in cricket history.
After reaching his half-century in 42 balls, Iftikhar stepped up to face Wahab Riaz in the 20th and final over. The result was a stunning series of sixes, which sent the ball flying all over the stadium, including the final two that cleared the third-man boundary. Iftikhar finished the match with 94 not out from just 50 balls, helping Quetta reach 184-5, which proved to be a match winning total.
