Honda is planning to launch the 7th generation City in Pakistan to compete with Toyota Yaris. Earlier it was reported that Honda might launch the 6th generation City in Pakistan. But now as per reported, Honda is planning to launch 7th gen City in the country. The company would be launching the new Honda City in the first quarter of 2021.
There will be three variants in which the new car will be launched, that is 1300cc, 1500cc, and 1000cc. The 1000cc variant will come with a Turbo-Charged engine, while the 1300cc and 1500cc will have Naturally Aspirated (NA) engines. In comparison to the other two variants, the 1000cc Turbo engine variant would be expensive.
The 7th gen City was launched by Honda in Thailand in 2019. The vehicle is bigger in comparison to the current variant. Its length, width, and height are 4553mm, 1748mm, and 1485mm respectively. The wheelbase is 2589mm.
The international variants of the car are offered with LED daytime lights, halogen projector headlamps, front bulb fog lamps, LED indicators, etc.
The interior of the car features an 8-inch infotainment screen compatible with Apple CarPlay. There is ample leg space at the backseats giving the car a comfortable look.
As of yet, the price of the car is unknown. If the price is kept similar to Toyota Yaris, Honda would have an edge. However, if it is between Rs3 to Rs3.6 million, it would be quite hefty.
